We Made it to Yellowstone!

We had planned to camp here a few years ago, but that’s when parts of Yellowstone flooded and our plans had to change. We were so excited that it worked out for us to come back this year, and with friends. The last time I was here was when I was nine, so I was looking forward to experiencing Yellowstone as an adult and to introduce it to my family. We stayed for almost a week. We got to do and see so much! Get ready for ALL. THE. PICTURES!

Good morning Yellowstone!

This was our friendly neighborhood elk that came to welcome us to the Bridge Bay campsite. We were all asleep in the bean and rooftop tent when the elk came by. Our campsite neighbors took this picture for us.

Ranger Sue taught us all about birds in the area and how to identify them and where they lived.

Picnicking by Yellowstone Lake

Hiking the Storm Point Trail…it was a beautiful walk around the edge of the lake and then through the forest.

Our sleepy kiddos in the rooftop tent

Daily elk visit

My littles wanted to help wash dishes…everything is more fun at the campsite

Our morning devotional time

Bison sighting

“Teddy” Roosevelt and Annabelle in the general store

Ice cream break…huckleberry fudge was my favorite!

Storytelling around the campfire

An elk accompanied us on our morning walk to the bathroom

And when we turned the corner to go in, another elk was waiting by the door!

Annabelle made friends with this sweet girl who was camping next to us. The girls wanted the dads to exchange numbers and when they did we realized they are both David Boyer! Isn’t that wild?!

S’mores with Ema! It was wonderful to have some evening girl talk by the campfire.
